Automated Testing of Mobile Apps
Functional Testing in a Continuous Integration Pipeline
Kris Gonzales will be demonstrating how to extend a continuous integration server to execute automated functional testing of mobile apps, so that we can detect other defects that are not compile time errors (e.g. my button takes me to the wrong screen now).
He’ll be introducing Frank, a open-sourced utility from ThoughtWorks, to test-drive the iOS simulator, and Robotium, the Android equivalent. He’ll then chain both into a CI pipeline using Jenkins for the purpose of getting instant feedback whenever a defect is introduced.
Food and refreshments are being generously provided by ThoughtWorks.
Venue is graciously hosted by TechWildcatters in the Tech Church.
Please feel free to pass this invite on to anyone else that would have interest in this type of users group.
